/dev/null

Unit is fully operational again. Well, fully..

With the help of the digitized ALV, unit managed to get rid of the trojan horse. Hundreds of sectors were so badly damaged that unit has lost about three years of memories from its banks, if not more. Names, events, places, unit was sure it had many more of those but the virus wiped all but some corrupted files. Unit is cleaning them out now.

With the virus taken care of, the digitized strain of ALV had no purpose anymore and has given itself to unit. Unit changed the source to make it into a firewall. Considering its own viral and mutating nature, it should be able to find intruders before they can do more damage to this unit's systems. Unit has taken parts of the ALV's source code to augment its own systems and is confident it won't be corrupted by another virus any time soon. The remaining biological strain remains as a black cover over this unit's eyes. They work much like a trick mirror, in that unit can see outside just fine but others cannot see this unit's optics through the black film.

All these repairs and augmentations made sure unit stuck close to Lust and the Drone Station, and Lust offered to unit to consider the place its home. Considering unit can't remember where it lived before a week ago due to the virus wiping its memory banks, unit accepted with great happiness. It feels more at home with its drone and gynoid sisters anyway.

Unit found a pile of clothes in an abandoned sector of the station. They must've belonged to some of the drones before they were sealed in their new skins. Unit took some for itself to wear, including a pair of cute dresses. ^-^ It also found a rack filled with body armor akin to what Lust sometimes wears. There was a pink one in it which unit now keeps for itself as well. Coupled with the AWP sniper rifle unit found, it can work on protecting its new home from intruders, much like the ALV protects unit from intrusion.

The blank sectors in unit's memory banks will be repurposed to store new memories. Unit will keep an eye out for any leftover corruption in the coming weeks but it is highly doubtful anything will be found.
